Who am I?

I’m Russell, an English freelance copywriter. I create insightful and engaging SEO-friendly content, proven to help drive acquisition, retention and brand awareness.

Away from writing, I enjoy sport and travel, at times combining the two to attend live sporting events around the world. I’ve seen Basketball in New York, Ice Hockey in Stockholm and Baseball in Tokyo. Next up – Formula One in Singapore.

What experience do I have?

I have more than six years copywriting and content marketing experience in a variety of different fields, including Sports, World News & Current Affairs, Economics & Finance, Politics, Entertainment and Health & Fitness.

Noteworthy projects include providing digital support to ITV during their exclusive coverage of the official Facebook Football Awards in 2016. I was also honoured to produce weekly social media content for Leicester City Football Club throughout their Premier League title winning season in 2015/16 and subsequent Champions League campaign of 2016/17.

What have I achieved?

  • Published by over 300 websites including the Independent UK, ITV, Evening Standard, Metro, Huffington Post, Yahoo, Fox Sports Australia and the Malta Independent.
  • Twice awarded blog access to the NewsNow Publisher Network.
  • Generated brand exposure valued at £1.5 million.

How much do I charge?

Once I understand a client’s needs, I can offer a quote via a per word, per article or per project basis – whichever suits your requirements. My rates are extremely competitive and I’m confident they will beat those offered by any marketing agency or content house, whilst providing a far higher standard of work too.
